When I (Dr Ikpoko) was growing up as a child I knew my grandfather was always preparing herbs. I often saw my elder brothers pounding tree barks and I could still remember how often people from different tribes were trooping into my fathers compound. When I was 18 years old, I always followed my grandfather to the forest after school in search of herbs.
